The jobholder will develop and maintain systems & procedures for project budgeting, cost control, cost estimating & reporting; monitor capital projects accrued expenditure against approved budget phasing and highlight/report any under-runs, delays, savings, etc to Company’s Finance; carry out miscellaneous cost control activities for major & miscellaneous CAPEX schemes (Issue of PACs & FACs, advise release of contractors/vendors performance bank guarantees, Insurance claims, etc); validate and prepare field orders and variation orders and variation orders for Project Contracts, services and purchase orders as necessary; prepare master schedules for new project schemes using Primavera or MS Project and review contractors planning submissions with emphasis on CPN and monitor their monthly progress and advise project managers accordingly; ensure that suitable provisions are made in all contracts to provide appropriate planning and scheduling data, information and documentation; ensure planning & scheduling documents such as master schedules, progress reports, S-curves and bar charts etc. are prepared properly and in accordance with contractual requirements; prepare project appraisal and economical studies (NPV, IRR, etc.). To qualify for this position you will be in the age group of 35-45 years, hold a B.Sc. Engineering degree with 8 years experience in oil and gas companies, of which at least 6 years should have been in projects cost control and planning. It is essential that you be computer literate with proficiency in Primavera, MS project or any other Project planning software and MS Office.
Based in Abu Dhabi this is a Contract Hire position.
